Shhhhhhhh. Your discretion is paramount during the prohibition. All drinking, dancing, music and gambling will commence from 8pm.

Tonight we cordially invite all guys and dolls to suit up and show off their glam with an evening of only the finest bootlegged liquor and blackjack. With your getaway planned, enjoy our illegal cocktails, fabulous flappers, live jazz and swing.
The Bloomsbury Ballroom

For tonights event we’ve decided to move away from the underground warehouses of east London and treat you to a swanky central London location perfectly suited to our 1920s Speakeasy Soiree.

This historic venue was born at a time of artist innovation and prosperity, and has now been restored to its former grandeur, empathising the era's social, artistic and cultural dynamism. A ballroom venue hidden beneath a historic and famous 1920s landmark in WC1 (as seen above) adds nostalgia to this Central London Art Deco venue.

The Speakeasy Look
Known as the ‘Roaring 20s’ and with World War 1 finally over, art and creative expression were alive again, with it came new and colorful fabrics and materials.

Hats, shoes, dresses, handbags and jewelry all complimented each other in this era with women preferring the more revealing and flamboyant of outfits. Exposing the legs, breaking the rules by raising hemlines and donning a famous flapper dress is in order for the ladies.

Gangsters heavily influenced 1920s fashion with notorious bad boys Al Capone and John Dillinger leading the way with the rebellious suit image of power and influence for men to aspire too. Other fashion crazes included leather driving jackets, the Yachting look and the commonly worn British driving caps, or brimmed hat, such as a Panama straw hat.
The Casino
Are you feeling lucky? Any speakeasy wouldn’t be the same without some roulette, blackjack and some illegal gambling, where the only sure thing about luck is that it will change.

Keep an eye for the exit and your immanent getaway - cash and chips in hand.
